The Sunday matinee? I went the same day for the same reason.

That was the last time I saw him on-stage- so glad I caught it to see his performance (and the rest of the cast as well)

Such a loss.

Yes, it was the Sunday show, so we were both there at the same time! I think it snowed around 3 inches -- enough to make you have to drive slowly and carefully, but not a treacherous amount.

I saw Dennehy in 3 shows - the other two were Inherit the Wind and Love Letters with Carol Burnett just a few months before Iceman. I wish I had seen his Willy Loman. It looks like the production was filmed and shown on cable, but was not released commercially. Dennehy won the Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild awards for the role, but lost the Emmy to Jack Lemmon in Tuesdays with Morrie.

''Brian Dennehy was a great actor and a great friend to me for over 30 years. Never more so than when we acted together in 'The Iceman Cometh' for Bob Falls in Chicago and then later at BAM. He was my biggest supporter and a loving mentor through that whole experience and I will always love him and never forget him for that, as well as his fierce brilliance, wit, and that wild Irish twinkle in his eye. Rest In Peace, dear friend. My heartfelt condolences to his wife, Jen, and his five children.''

Wow...Nathan Lane has lost two long-time friends in a matter of weeks. I hope he's okay.
