| I'm just guessing, but I think maybe she decided to give priority to raising her children during the 20 years or so that might have been really great years for her career. Parents in showbiz make different decisions as to how much they can/should work while raising kids; I believe Patti LuPone is a major example of someone who, for that reason, didn't work much for years. I believe Sandy was in two Encores! shows during her child-rearing years, and those are exactly the sort of projects one can do without giving a big chunk of one's life over to them, so I'm guessing that's why that happened. |
