Yes, I can understand that perspective.

On the other hand, for someone recently unemployed like me, it's actually really nice to have an appointment. : )

Since you are unemployed. Hopefully, people with jobs are donating and I think evening would capture more of us, which is the point of these events is to generate money and not give the unemployed something to do.

I'm well aware the goal is to generate money.

I was simply attempting to illustrate that for those of us (and there are many) who are recently unemployed it's fun to look forward to something that has a specific time. Much like going to an actual matinee.

It was an innocent and lighthearted remark. I was not proposing that they program their content to meet my needs. I was pointing out a silver lining to their programming for some people.

Your comments strike me as harsh and rather unkind.

I don’t watch the 12 cast interview shows each week. The play readings are my interests. Why can’t those be at night. 11am pacific time is early especially on wed working at home.

Yeah. It's really unfortunate for a lot of the people who would want to watch I assume.

I continue to be baffled at how there is any issue or harm in keeping these entirely non-profit bare bones readings online for even just 24 hours... even just until the next morning, so people can watch just during the day it aired... and DONATE. They probably lose a lot of donations from people who would have donated something while watching or because they got to watch another time. Even charge a flat fee to watch it after it airs during that next 12 hours or whatever, with the option for added donations also, what is the harm there? That was the point of doing the reading.
I understand this is all due to some issue with union rules but, I think whatever those rules are, especially in this circumstance, are absolutely illogical and idiotic and helps and protects nothing.

These readings have been SO wonderful. I just wish more people could see them, and I wish we didn't have to miss them entirely if we aren't free to watch it exactly in the 2 hour window it airs live in, and I wish the Actors Fund could benefit from more donations and exposure for these plays by having them accessible for more than 2 hours, and shareable, etc. It just seems like such a bad pointless rule.
