The show has never sounded or been performed better for my money -- the cast is beyond perfect, every role, and the score sounds lightyears better than it does on the cast albums if you ask me. And truly I don't think anyone sings Val Jean as well as Colm, especially with that orchestra behind him. And good as Alfie Boe is, he doesn't quite compare vocally with what Colm can do (especially for a concert), and it would be nice if the people watching this coming weekend got to see the original Valjean.
For most people I've ever talked to about it, this is THE Les Miz experience... I know it's older and doesn't have a Jonas Brother in it, but Les Miz hardly needs that to get eyeballs. |
