I am "at home" and catching up with a pile of books, CDs etc and currently enjoying the music and autobiography ("I'm on a See-Saw") of English composer Vivian Ellis. The autobiography is worth reading - lots of anecdotes and humour. He doesn't seem to have made much of an impact on Broadway.
Google found me the linked article that tells how Mr Cinders came to be revived at the Kings Head Theatre that I found very interesting if you have a few minutes. In moving books and scores etc around my sitting room this afternoon I caught "The man in the chair" watching me through the looking glass, wearing a baggy cardigan very similar to mine..... |
