The No. 1 song in the UK is You'll Never Walk Alone, with Michael Ball, Captain Tom Moore, and the NHS Voices that Care Choir. One of our colleagues from the UK can tell the story in more detail, but Captain Tom Moore is a WWII army vet, and he decided to do a charity walk in his garden for the National Health Service, even though he is 99 years old and uses a walker. He has raised over 28 million pounds, and Michael Ball sings You'll Never Walk Alone as Moore speaks the words on a charity single.

This is Michael Ball's first No. 1 single in the UK. Love Changes Everything from Aspects of Love was a No. 2 single back in 1989, so he has been charting for over 30 years.

This is Rodgers and Hammerstein's 2nd No. 1 in a little over a year, with their last hit being Ariana Grande's "7 Rings," whose melody was taken heavily from "My Favorite Things."

This is the fourth time "You'll Never Walk Alone" has hit No. 1 in the UK, and the second time it's been No. 1 on a charity single. I don't think Rodgers and Hammerstein have had another No. 1 single in the UK or the US besides the two already mentioned.
