To help fill the hours until tonight's big birthday celebration

A friend sent me this link to the 1993 original cast reunion concert of Company, which I'd never seen. Below is the YouTube blurb that accompanies the video. Enjoy.

Pro-shot [watch for the fancy of-the-era camera fades and erratic who's-singing-now camera jerks in Poor Baby] excerpts from the first of the "Company" original Broadway cast reunion concerts, January 23, 1993, Long Beach, CA. (In April of the same year, the concert was repeated in NYC.) Twelve of the original fourteen cast members are here, with Alice Cannon substituting for Merle Louise, and Stanley Grover taking the late Charles Braswell's part (Cannon and Grover had both been replacements in the original Broadway production). You will recognize the host. Numbers included, in order: "You Could Drive a Person Crazy"; "Someone Is Waiting"'; "Another Hundred People"; "Getting Married Today"'; "Poor Baby"; "Tick-Tock"; "Barcelona"; "The Ladies Who Lunch"; "Being Alive"

And here's a clip, shot for a television feature, from the New York edition of the "Company" original Broadway cast reunion concert, April 1993:

It was so thrilling to see practically the whole original cast at that ''Company'' reunion in 1993. But my biggest takeaway was Dean Jones.

I had known him only from goofy Disney movies (like ''The Love Bug''), so I assumed he was just a wonderful light comedy actor.

But Jones blew me away by how much he poured his heart and soul into ''Being Alive.'' I've seldom seen it sung more movingly.

Did anyone see Jones in ''Into the Light'' (1986)? ... Anyway, I'm glad he got a second shot at ''Company'' with this special concert.

I've been asking the same question. I sent it to Broadway.com via its website and have not received a response. However, the event is on Broadway.com's YouTube site, and it is listed there. YouTube has a "Save" function that I checked to indicated that I wanted to view it later. YouTube saved it to my "Watch Later" menu. I hope that works!

Wondering the same thing...maybe a tech savvy person will be able to put it onto youtube, like someone kind did for the epically moving 4 hour Met Opera At Home Gala yesterday!!

Thank you so much.
Incredibly exciting and moving. Partly the terrific songs, of course, one winner after another. Partly the brilliance of the original cast, and no matter how much they'd aged and, in some cases, gained weight, delivering these songs so beautifully. Partly the knowledge that 1993 was closer in time to 1970 than 2020 is to 1993. And that many of these performers are no longer with us. Finally, the added significance right now for "Being Alive."
