Incredibly exciting and moving. Partly the terrific songs, of course, one winner after another. Partly the brilliance of the original cast, and no matter how much they'd aged and, in some cases, gained weight, delivering these songs so beautifully. Partly the knowledge that 1993 was closer in time to 1970 than 2020 is to 1993. And that many of these performers are no longer with us. Finally, the added significance right now for "Being Alive." |
