I feel like i'm insane... I literally JUST said this AGAIN. No... Spider-Man NOT being a flop does NOT make it a hit. But Spider-Man, LIKE I HAVE ALREADY SAID ABOUT SPIDER-MAN SPECIFICALLY AND OTHER SHOWS IN GENERAL, was mostly definitely not a flop. It ran for 1,248 performances (aka over 2 1/2 years) for god's sake.
This is honestly very easy, so I have to assume you're not getting that this isn't a binary purposefully for the purpose of mockery... otherwise I'm not sure what the issue is except how rigidly you want to cling to an irrelevant definition to a word that has been thoroughly reclaimed by fan and critic and cultural reporting vernacular and mock those who call it out. Mock all you want, you're wrong. And whether you think I'm right or not, the *hole* you think you called out is not a hole in the argument at all and has been address several times. |
