I don't know. Part of the premise of this whole thing was that i think there ought to be a term for a thing that isn't a flop culturally but isn't a hit.
I do not have the term. And as we've well established, even if i did, what I think about the terms broadway and cultural observers use is irrelevant, so what good would it do if I had a term to pitch? Let's say the term is... "bunt"... it wasn't a strike out, it wasn't a home run, but the show got to at least a base and it counts as not a failure. I don't want to use sports terms for theater but I'll start there. |
