People on here thought it was doubtful that a show would pay to train an actress for months like that.
Likely they weren't "training" Luft as much as they were seeing how she worked under those conditions. Similar to the idea that sometimes Broadway actors are called back a series of times for a role - not necessarily because they need to hear them again and again, but because they want to see how consistent someone is, etc. It's more about one's craft and demeanor, perhaps, more than just "can she sing the role." |
