| Although it was really The Secret Garden OBCR that made me fall in love with her voice...as is the case for many I'm sure...she was also my Christine when I saw Phantom in August 1989. Of course pre-internet, and being only 14, I didn't know who she was or even that I wouldn't be seeing the same performers on the cast recording! (although Steve Barton was still Raoul, may be rest in peace). But I later learned that Luker opened the show in the ensemble before moving up to Christine. Does anyone know if she was the first replacement after Sarah Brightman? Anyhow, I wish I could see that performance again with the affection I now have for her. It's like I didn't know what a treat I was getting at the time :-) |
