| Thanks for the report, but maybe you can help clear up questions I've got. As you mentioned, ''Flop Musicals'' is only 108 pages. Barnes & Noble also lists 108 pages. Yet the Amazon listing says the paperback has 114 pages (for $44.95). Odder yet, Stephen Purdy, the author, posted in a thread on the BroadwayWorld message board that there's ''bad info on Amazon. It's much longer than 108 pages. (It's around 200 I think).'' What a wide disparity. (Amazon also lists a hardcover version of the book for $150!) . The promo blurb for the book says it includes ''first-hand accounts from the cast members, backstage staff, and the creative team,'' so are there any new interviews with them? Did Purdy get more insights from the various actors or creatives, or is he just recycling (already) published stories? |
