| I assume that in theatres where there is more space in the building, some musicians will be in remote locations (this is already done to some extent)...or, some shows may have to work with less musicians (painful to say, and that's also a huge union question, but...). Hopefully virtual orchestras are not even being talked about - but then again, I'm sure the idea has been in the back of some producer's minds. I don't want to see that happen at any cost. (That was threatened during the musicians' strike in 2003, but never happened.) |
