Thanks - how strange! I would imagine it wouldn't be that hard to find flops where key personnel would be happy to talk to an author. Broadway people are often pretty open and accessible. I've been to several talkbacks (like the Encores Saturday matinee ones) where the creative team and the actors have been pretty open about good and bad things along the way. It's a little bit different to commit to those opinions in print, but not that different.
Does Purdy explain anywhere how he chose these particular shows? |
