| Page counts are always multiples of 16, such as 144 pages, 112 pages, 208 pages, etc. NYC23 is correct that pagination usually starts with the main body of text, which is why you'll sometimes see things like ii or iv on the front matter if there's an introduction, for example. sorry for too much info here but if something is listed as 108 pages, it means the publisher isn't counting blank pages in back, or front matter. I actually like them listing it by text pages since it tells you how much text is to read. I am sorry to read the bad reviews for this book, though. |
