...although I share the author's sentiments about 99% of these Zoom theatre presentations being absolutely interminable, I would pay good money to watch a live stream of SummerTheater reading that article.
Anyway, thank you for posting, it was an incredible read. I could practically feel the flames leaping off my screen so many fascinating insights into... well... so many topics from the conflict of art and commerce in the theatre, to the structural racism and implicit bias in the arts, to the preening peacocks of the producing class (GOD, those Jordan Roth takedowns were delicious) and on and on.
I'm not familiar with Grissom's writing, but I hope he continues to write on the topic. |
