Hey, Whistler. I’m wondering if perhaps you didn’t see both the posts in which I discussed the differences. I've been trying to link both in one post using hyperlinks, but for some reason that's not working. I'm guessing you saw the first one, but perhaps not the second one so I'll include just a regular link for that one.
I think we have somewhat different perceptions of certain things about the film vs. the musical. For one thing, I think there are very good reasons for Madame Armfeldt to die at the end of the musical. There would be no good reason for Madame Armfeldt to die at the end of Smiles of a Summer Night. Anyway, there's more to discuss, you bring up interesting things to which I'd like to respond, but often nowadays the desire to respond is there but the energy to type up and complete a post with which I will be satisfied is not. |
