| Besides Gypsy, I remember Paul Wallace as Kippy, Bud's friend, on Father Knows Best in the 50's. He had a recurring role on that, but it's true he didn't do anything else of note after Gypsy. Probably 30 or so years ago, a friend and I were in Joe Allen's at the bar having a drink. I said to my friend that I thought the man sitting next to me was Paul Wallace, Tulsa in Merman's Gypsy and in the film. We talked with him a bit, and he was really friendly and seemed pleased we recognized him. I recall he said that he had a dance school but didn't go into detail about it. He would be about 82 now, which seems hard to believe. |
