In the Broadway musical, Dainty June elopes with Tulsa. But in the movie, Dainty June elopes with Jerry, another dancer. Tulsa is at the train station, alongside Herbie and Louise, before they all get the news that Louise has run off. Anyone know why this plot point was altered for the big screen?
Perhaps because they thought having a turtle on speed would be too weird? ;-) |
