Wow...aside from her health issues on her last weekend in the show, and the stage manager's really unreasonable response to a perfectly reasonable request for an accomodation, the cleanliness issue at the Winter Garden sounds like it was a serious issue that Equity and IATSE should have gotten involved in for the safety of their members.
There's absolutely no excuse for any of it, but most especially for a roach finding a home in White's wig. I mean...how the hell does THAT happen? Does no one check/clean/reset the wigs ever?
I saw White as Grizabella and, though my memories of that performance as a whole are hazy (it's been a long time), I do remember her being terrific. |
