| This bizarre rant about 1000 things and nothing is just one of the currently fashionable expressions of hate and hatefulness about Broadway – at the curious moment when it's a patient intubated and on life-support with an unclear path to survival or revival. I have no doubt that Broadway will rise once more, and sooner than most people think, as COVID becomes a fact of life, as it is already becoming. But I doubt all the ranting and raving about the supposed hatefulness of Broadway and its denizens will have the slightest effect on its future, when it extricates itself from its current near-death predicament. |
