Do you mean you're guessing he doesn't read all the essays, because some of them are so badly written that the Times wouldn't publish them as is if they were properly vetted and edited? Or did the person in question actually make a statement that he doesn't read everything he sends to publication? I can't imagine that's true :-( Maybe the problem here is just a general lowering of standards; that's my suspicion. |
