I agree, this seems way overproduced to me also with way too much camera movement to the point of being cliche. I don't really need to see what the stage looks like from 100 feet above looking down. I wish they would just trust the fantastic material and not feel like they have to "keep it moving" for short attention spans.
The thrill of viewing the stage version of Hamilton was seeing how the perspectives and stage pictures were constantly changing and the dynamics of that kept you on edge.
