| I think it would be accurate to say that all of this did bother them/us a year ago, but they/we managed to stuff down that disgust because A) we were all stuck together in a rotting system and B) we still maintained some illusions about progress and basic human decency in our industry, partly because we thought many of those stories were outliers, rather than the real narrative. |
