Didn't someone get arrested in Hawaii for posting Facebook photos of them out and about during their 14-day quarantine period?
In some countries, I think they track people through an app, and the quarantined people have to say whether they have symptoms, and confirm they are isolated when the app asks. I guess people can lie, but they are responding to a question asked by the government, and lying comes with some potential fine or other penalty. The app probably doesn't lead to perfect quarantining, but it probably makes it better.
Some countries use GPS to track the quarantined people through an app, but I don't think that would happen in the US. |
