| We have been through this before on this board, but in my opinion, Evan Hansen is most definitely NOT a con man, or con boy. He initially lies under tremendous pressure, when he feels he has to, in order to give the parents of the boy who committed suicide at least a tiny bit of comfort. Then, after that, he keeps lying to sustain the initial lie. Initially, at least, Evan personally stands to gain nothing from his lie. It's a completely different situation from the other con men you mentioned. |
