We can all summon countless examples of stage pieces that survived the release of film iterations, even beyond the Chicago phenom. In the case of Hamilton, the return of B'way performances would make Hamilton one of only a handful of sure things. As I've guessed, it's the Jagged Little Pills that will have more trouble. I'm shadow boxing, but: shows with brand-like profiles might be the first to pick up steam. But that's contingent upon tourism's return to NYC, the financial factor that fuels brands. Some opine that the tri-state audience should be the first concern (not that Hamilton doesn't have that). Bring us back first. Of course, that makes the closure of stuff like Hangmen that much sadder.

If there's one thing we know: we don't know anything.
