I just found some very extensive clips from this (apparent) stage production on YouTube. I think it took place at what seems to be a small theater in 2009. Evans and Reams are the narrators/moderators.
There are incredible filmed segments of Verdon performing Erbie Fitch's Twitch (from Redhead) and Verdon and Fosse re-creating the Pony Dance (from New Girl in Town). In addition clips of Verdon's dance performances in films like David and Bathsheba and On the Riviera are shown. Marge Champion is in it too and talks about her friendship with Verdon and their performances together. I can't believe that Champion will be 101 later this year.
Did anyone here actually see this stage presentation? Any thoughts, comments, additional information? |
