| There are finite ways to put the 12 well tempered tones together, and the standardization of popular song format (usually A A B A or A B A) narrows possibilities. It is not easy to prove INTENTIONAL violation of copywrite under these circumstances, so even if you are correct and the two songs sound an awful lot alike, Paul Simon going after Roger Miller's estate isn't likely. |
