I'm intrigued. Many commented with Denzel Washington took on Walter Lee. And there are other examples. I remember Jessica Tandy playing Amanda when she was about 20 years older than the character (it didn't matter a whit; she was stunning.) But age blind is rather different. It invites audiences to ignore age entirely. Children's theater performed by adults routinely casts thus (and not always successfully).
What are the best examples? |
