I don't think this production is likely to be truly "age-blind," which would mean that the actors would be cast regardless of their age. So you could have a Hamlet of 82, a Gertrude who's 17, a Polonius who's 24, an Ophelia who's 52, and so forth. I think that would be very distracting. A staged reading might allow that, but I think a fully-staged production would have to have some kind of age coherence.

Although I think audiences will accept celebrities as almost anyone in a classic role, especially one that doesn't take place in the present. Denzel Washington in A Raisin in the Sun, who was mentioned earlier, is a good example.
