I also held off on the then-newly-released OCR before I saw HAMILTON with the original cast, and I spent the first few numbers entertained, but waiting to see why the show was a phenomenon. It was "Satisfied" that instantly changed that for me.

Truly, a near-perfect marriage of material, performer, staging and lighting. From then on, I knew the work was remarkable. "The Room Where it Happens" sealed the deal for me, and it happened exactly when I was primed for it. I could tell that Lin-Manuel had been holding his cards in revealing what Burr's mysterious motivations were, and when he finally lifted the shade to let us learn, I was electrified.
