There is not one single (true) word in the piece that is not already well known information. There are at least two statements in the piece that are demonstrably false. One of them is his characterization of Daryl and what she does.

Unfortunately, Grissom's credibility train had already left the station before this piece was put up on the site. We have lots of work to do in America, and in the American theatre, but Grissom is not going to be the motorman of the train on which that works gets done.

I have my theory about what happened during Grissom's tenure in Daryl Roth's office that prompted his pathological behavior of late. Unlike some people, because I don't write things that I don't know to be true, I won't say what it is, but I will say that it has nothing to do with Donald Trump.

I hope Daryl is throwing you nice little things for coming to her defense.

I love that little dance you do--"I have my theory about what happened during Grissom's tenure in Daryl Roth's office," but then a pivot--"I don't write things that I don't know to be true." Then the Sally Rand fan dance--"I won't say what it is, but I will say that it has nothing to do with Donald Trump."

And here you are, yet again, reading Grissom, which I do not suggest, and giving him oxygen and more hits, which I find terribly ironic.

How GOOD you are.

I am not defending anyone by noting misinformation in what was published.

I acknowledge the irony. Do you acknowledge yours?

I would suggest you prove it is misinformation. Otherwise, you are yet another incendiary poster here.

It is interesting to note that the 2d (and nastiest) of his stories has apparently been taken down, though the headline is still there with different content. So that explains his "suspended" reference.

Grissom comes across as a bitter man. All the famous people in his life are dead. His one book has been overshadowed by John Lahr's book on Williams. It appears no one is interested in publishing Grissom's book on Brando. He has nothing left, so he spends his days lashing out at people he thinks do not deserve their success. It's like being slimed by a worm.

It "appears" that he has publishers interested in two books. You seem fairly bitter yourself, so much so that I am defending Grissom, whom I do not support in his latest writings.

Wrong about what? He is right about some things (all of which, as I note, are already relatively common knowledge) and wrong about some others. But most of those items are obscured by his successful obliteration of any arguable credibility he may have ever had and the miasma of pathological nonsense that is the most observable characteristic of his essays. Were there valid points lurking somewhere? Maybe, but in a forensics class, he would surely get an "F."

He would also get an F in a writing class.
