| CASTS OF ALTAR BOYZ AROUND THE WORLD RECORD VIRTUAL "I BELIEVE" AS DEDICATION TO THE THEATER COMMUNITY Original Cast including RYAN DUNCAN, DAVID JOFESBERG, ANDY KARL, TYLER MAYNARD, SCOTT PORTER, and creative team to reunite on July 9th to benefit The Actors Fund. (July 2, 2020 - New York, NY) Tony Award-winning Broadway Producer, Ken Davenport, announced a virtual reunion with the cast and creatives of Altar Boyz on July 9th at 8pm EDT on The Producer's Perspective Live. Susan Blackwell ([title of show], "Side By Side By Susan Blackwell", "Now Here This") is set to host the virtual event. The Altar Boyz team is thrilled to share a special music feature benefiting The Actors Fund . Over 30 Boyz from Off-Broadway, NYMF, national tours, and more came together to virtually record and film a music video for the song, "I Believe". You can watch that video at www.altarboyzreunion.com. A brand new music video will debut exclusively on the livestream featuring an original song cut from the show. "Altar Boyz was the success it was and is because of the incredible group of people who created it. Couldn't think of a better time to reunite everyone who made this boy band the best that New York has ever seen." says Ken Davenport. On July 9th, the Reunion will bring together the original company: Ryan Duncan (Juan), David Josefsberg (Abraham ), Andy Karl (Luke), Kevin Kern (Understudy ), Tyler Maynard (Mark), Scott Porter (Matthew ), Daniel Torres (Understudy), plus a few surprise guests. The Actors Fund is a national human services organization that fosters stability and resiliency and provides a safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals over their lifespan. Through offices in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, The Fund serves everyone in film, theater, television, music, opera, radio and dance with programs including social services and emergency financial assistance, health care and insurance counseling, housing, and secondary employment and training services. Since March 18, 2020, The Actors Fund has provided more than $13 million in emergency financial assistance to 11,255 people who work in performing arts and entertainment. With shutdowns on Broadway and in film and television, theater, concerts, dance, music and many other areas of entertainment, the need is great and growing.
