| I'm not sure how that would work. Does that mean you can only stream it on your laptop and not on your TV? | |

| Google Chromcast. It's relatively cheap and you can stream anything from your laptop, desktop or phone to your tv. | |

| It doesn’t cost much and will allow you to stream Disney Plus on your TV. While you’re at it, cancel your cable and get YouTubeTV. It’s only $65 and has most of the channels you get on cable. And you can watch it on 3 devices at once and on any device no matter where you are. Welcome to the 21st century. | |

| ilw gave a comprehensive list. If you live in a google or apple world, Roku is less integrated. If you have no technology to speak of, then Roku works but if this is likely to be a one-time thing for you, it costs more than an hdmi cable. | |

| Totally agree. Ashamed to admit: I didn't get a Roku til 2016, when I finally got FIOS. The quality of your internet is critical, and I've loved my Roku experience every day since. But stubborn Luddite-Boomer that I am, I still have the damned cable box, too. Eventually, in the next 15 months, I'm simplifying. (I know I'm paying too much.) |

| It shouldn’t be a one time thing though. Something else will come along on some platform. Also- cable companies will go under eventually. I live in a google and Apple world and I have a Roku. You can search any title and it will show you every platform it is available on and how much if there is a cost. YouTubeTV and YouTube are both available and so is Apple TV so I’m not missing anything. | |

| You can stream on any of the following devices: Desktop web browsers. Mobile devices and tablets (Android and Apple). ... Smart TVs (LG WebOS, Samsung Tizen, Android TV, Vizio SmartCast, Roku TV) Game consoles (PlayStation 4, Xbox One) Streaming devices (Apple TV 4th Gen and later, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, Roku). Here are two methods I use: 1) You can stream on your laptop and connect it to your TV via an HDMI cable for viewing, if your laptop has an HDMI port and your TV has an HDMI input. 2) Alternatively, you can stream it on your phone and connect it to your TV for viewing, but again only if your TV has an HDMI input. Also, you'll need an AV adapter to connect the phone to the TV. |

| ilw, seems like you know a fair bit about this, perhaps you can help me. I have a 2015 Samsung smart TV & purchased roku so I could see Hamilton on my big screen TV while also having access to my laptop. As a bonus I got a free 7 day subscription to BritBox & am working my way through that. However, I can't figure out how to 'turn off' roku and get back to my Spectrum DVR and watch my previously recorded programs. Even when I remove the HDMI cable from roku, all my video sources are showing up as black screens. Did I break my DVR when I signed up for roku? Please email me if you have any advice or respond here. | |

| I'm no expert, but it doesn't sound like you broke your DVR if all your video sources are showing up as black screens. It sounds like your TV isn't recognizing any of your video sources. (I'm assuming that you're able to use your TV remote to change the video input.) Try connecting your Spectrum DVR using a different input on your TV, if possible. If you use an HDMI connection from your DVR to your TV, maybe try connecting it to the same input that you used for your Roku. Of course, when all else fails, turn everything off and then turn everything back on. In particular, be sure to reboot your DVR. Maybe someone more familiar with Roku has some better idea of what's going on. |

| Slight correction to method #2 to stream on your phone and view on your TV: the AV adapter (for an iPhone, it's a Lightning Digital AV Adapter) connects the phone to the HDMI cable , not to the TV directly. | |

| Your smart TV may not have the Disney app on its list of apps that you can use. That doesn't mean that any of the other ways ilw listed wouldn't work for you. For example, if you buy a Roku stick to plug into an HDMI port on your TV, then you can access the Disney app that's on that Roku stick. Of course, you would need to buy the Roku stick and also subscribe to the Disney service as well as have an internet connection that supports streaming video content. | |

| If you have a fairly new "smart" TV, you can get Disney+ on it. If you have a streaming device, such as Roku, a Firestick, AppleTV, you can watch Disney+ on your TV as well. Otherwise, you can stream it on your computer, iPad, phone etc.... Watched a little bit on my iPad this morning - it's just beautifully done. Loved what I've seen so far. And the heavy duty close ups of Jonathan Groff shows why the combination of Covid and close interaction is so dangerous for actors. |

| When you started the sentence with close ups of Jonathan Groff, I thought you were going to mention how delightful it was to see his facial expressions -- because that's what I was thinking! But yes, I was also wondering why they used a version that included a "spit-take" when I'm sure they had multiple versions to choose from.... | |

|
| That depends on your setup. If you have a smart TV, or something like a Roku, you should be able to cast to your TV. If your TV has an HTMI port, you can hook it up directly. | |
