| Though it wouldn't need to be released on CD to be released - it could just be uploaded to Spotify, iTunes, etc. Not sure what that would cost, but I can't imagine it would be that much. | |

| A digital release would eliminate the expense of the jewel case, the CD pressing, and the booklet so the total cost would have to be less. How much less I don't know. However, I believe Lestat was recorded either during the show's run or shortly afterward so wouldn't the union regulations (to protect the actors' and musicians' appropriate compensation) still apply if there is an eventual release? In the past shows that were a quick failure waited a certain period of time before recording to bypass the union requirements with, of course, the participants' acquiescence. That was the case with Amour, Triumph of Love, Cry-Baby, undoubtedly others. Aren't the union rules the main factor in a recording's total cost? |

| We're out of my area of expertise, but I would presume that union payments would have been incurred at the time of recording, rather than upon release. | |
