I definitely felt that way when I first saw the show. I went in completely cold, and there were so many words hurtling at us, often at high speed, that it sometimes felt hard to keep up. But the cast had great diction; it was my processing that was the issue. I often felt one step behind.
When I saw the show again, I had basically memorized the cast album by that point, and I could relax and luxuriate more in the show, so to speak. |
