| I wouldn't go quite that far. I think all of us have music that we love/like/dislike/hate. I don't think any amount of training is going to drag those at the lower end of that continuum in relation to hip hop or rap music to "enlightenment" [:-)] any more that the large swath of people who hate so-called musical theatre music are not going to continue zoning out on it despite the best efforts of anyone. The fact is that we now have parts of at least three generations for whom hip hop is the soundtrack of their lives. |
