| In Ben Platt’s Netflix show he plays at Marie’s Crisis, well he comes out for the door but when they show the inside it is a much nicer venue. Is that inside a real piano bar somewhere in NYC that I should know? By the way if you haven’t seen it is a fun, if slight show, from Ryan Murphy. Like most of his shows it has a very gay vibe and this features an assortment of theater actors popping up here and there too. Ben Platt is absolutely adorable in it. | |

| Make a fantastic pair playing off each other in season 2. The second season is a lot better than the first. | |

| Is it necessary to complete the first season in order to enjoy the second? | |

| The Jessica Lange character is well done and her granddaughter is in the second season and probably not make sense what she does without the first season background. It’s only 8 episodes, not a huge commitment. I just finished the sopranos 86 episodes—now that was a commitment. |

| After watching and not loving the first episode or two, I read the Vulture recaps for the rest of the season, and then picked up with the final S1 episode, which is the starting point of the NYC storyline. I found that episode to be much more compelling than the California/high school episodes had been. | |

| It reminded me of election with Witherspoon and Broderick. | |

| I agree that it wasn’t the most interesting plot line but I did find the Manchausen disease to be interesting twist with Lange and the other issues. Second season is more interesting. | |

| At the very least, I would watch the season 1 finale, where Light and Midler’s characters are introduced. | |
