| The action on the 2d floor showed us other tenants in the apt building. Seems an expensive directorial addition. My two quibbles was that in Act 1 the wealthy husband was virtually inaudible, and the play itself a pretty predictable old-fashioned 'well made play'. Rattigan has always seemed a very good run of the mill playwright - the kind of which there were many at one time, before this kind of story was swept up by TV and film. |
