| This reminds me of Dick Gregory's autobiography, the title of which is (I think) the most derogatory of words one can use to describe his race, also used commonly by members of it. He claimed it, and thought it was important to avoid avoiding. Others vehemently disagree. The cover of the book had the following notation: "Dear Momma -- Wherever you are, if ever you hear the word [that is the title of the book] again, remember they are advertising my book." |
