When I saw Pippin in 1973, the show had no intermission and they used an annoucement just like that. It got a big laugh. I think they did that all three times I saw the show.
I should add that when I saw 1776 in the summer of 1970 at the Majestic, it had the intermission after Mama Look Sharp. It always seemed fitting to me there, and it was there when I saw two different touring companies in Philly. |
