Soft Power was a one note satire that you saw coming from the first line of the play.
Heroes is terrifying. It creates such a dangerous sense of truth, you have no idea what any of the characters are really feeling under all those words. Brilliant writing, I thought. Though it sunk to a couple of really cheap dramatic shots (physical violence) and a final monologue that was more playwright and less truth, I was riveted throughout.
Kudos to the production team, as well. We were forced to lean in because of the lighting and sound. Then the unleashing of the euphoric comments at the end in the chat window. For me, this ranks as one of the best things to come out of COVID entertainment.
