| I thought Emily might have been possessed by the spirit of one of the Black women she had counseled at her Chicago workplace. Or she dreamed about her? She mentions a dream. Whatever was going on, the actress was brilliant. I was totally engaged by the writing and I didn’t hate these characters despite their being Trump voters. I do think the play needed some editing. But the setting of the play in the darkness outside worked pretty well on Zoom. |
