... that it's much better television to watch the performers who are a bit rusty, or clearly amateurs, than the folks who pursued a professional arts career. In the Flint, Michigan episode that re-staged THE SOUND OF MUSIC, one of those performers went on to perform on Broadway, and it's not as interesting TV to watch her solid performing skills than the members of the cast for whom this is a bigger challenge.
I love the idea of this show and I look forward to seeing more episodes!
