Their website is very confusing, in terms of "Hair". They have the show announced, and you can click to buy tickets, but then the ticketing vendor tells you that tickets aren't currently being sold online. Considering that you can buy tickets to the remaining performances of "Hedwig" (including one with the message that the show may move to an outdoor venue), that's mighty suspicious.
It does seem that they may be hitting some snags with their reopening.
As a side note, I am really surprised by the fact that "Hair" was a cheaper option for them to produce than "Cabaret". I would think that the cast sizes are comparable (if anything, I'd imagine you could produce "Cabaret" with less people than "Hair"), and lord knows we've seen that you don't need much scenery to make the show work. I wonder what they were envisioning that made switching to "Hair" the better choice... unless they were banking on a cast of young people not being prone to Covid? |
