As with everything else no one knows, but I think what you are describing is a function of anxiety and malaise that is not a surprising symptom of what we are going through. I don't think we can really assess attitudes until we have this in the rear view mirror. Another possibility is that we will all feel like caged animals that have been released into the wild. And also recall that, if you put any stock in history, the Spanish Flu was followed by the Roaring 20s and in Hong Kong post-SARS was witness to an exceptionally robust period. I remain optimistic. I also point out that one characteristic I think we are seeing in human nature circa 2020 is that we are more impatient than any society in the history of the world.
