| It is a rather hokey play, the twist is of course marvelous but the characters are 40s/50s English stereotypes. I like to re-read a book I have of many of the Agatha Christie plays and it isn’t her best even if it is the most famous. I don’t know historically why it didn’t get more international productions. Now it is just so “of it’s time” that it feels okay to see it in London at the long running production but would probably not be well received elsewhere at this time. | |
