| That is grim, thank you to you and AlanScott for sharing. Gee, if SummerTheater were here with us, they'd remind us that they always hated that stretch of 42nd Street for being riddled with street people who harassed passersby. It is a shame that New York's services providing housing and mental health are so poorly funded and managed, as that is surely contributing to these problems. And with the new budget making even more cuts, I don't have a great deal of hope... though perhaps once people are back out in the streets in stronger numbers, that will drive some of this back down. |
